somebody told me that rose was based on a woman named rosa abbott does anybody have any information on her?

rose was a ficitional character....from my understanding, not based on anyone....

Long story Lilcandy.
Rose on Titanic was based on some parts on Rosa Aboott. Rosa was the only first class girl to go then with the ship. She was resued from the water. That is the only part Rose Dawson was based on. |

The characters of Rose and Jack are fictional, as is Cal Hockly, Ruth, Lovejoy, Fabrizio and the Heart of the Ocean Diamond. There was in fact a J.Dawson listed on the crew roster for the Titanic. Although this is simply a coincindence, it didn't stop hundreds from flocking to the poor man's graveside in Halifax.
james cameron himself even said they were fiction.. |

she was a third class passenger...again i think people went through the passenger list looking for names that resembled those in the movir...jack and rose and their story is all fiction....

i should thank you..i enjoyed reading about her...i can't imagne the pain she went through...losing her 2 sons and have frost bite....i hope to never feel the pain of losing a child
