At 11:40PM it will have been 95 years to the minute that Titanic struck the iceberg. This site gets a lot of traffic on this day and this time of year. I think of Titanic way more then a 42 year old man should, ALL year long. My heart hurts for the lost, and I always wonder what would have become of myself, were I there on that fateful night.

As I posted the other day, I want to remember Titanic in all of her glory in regards to what she was supposed to be.
But today is a day to take a more somber mood, even though it is 95 years later. This date will always have meaning with people like us continuing to keep the memory of that tragic night alive. I think about Titanic every day. Her story still touches my heart and teaches me that life does not always turn out the way you think it will. That is a treasued lesson that her saga continues to re-inforce my life with. God bless the lost on Titanic, as well as the survivors, both living and past. |
