Need a good laugh? Read the Weekly World News story about Titanic. Just below the newborn baby looks like Lincoln and the story of Satan captured by GIs in Iraq, WWN reports Titanic never sank. The story itself is in the middle (dead center) of the paper. I never laughed so hard in my life! Get a copy (or just read it while you wait at the checkout lane. Unfortunatly, I've no idea where it is on their website ( www.weeklyworldnews.com ), but if you can find it there send a link so other Titanic fans can read it. It funny as - um - well, it's just danged funny!

I really don't like when that magazine publishes articles like that. I have seen more than twice a article refering to Titanic in a negative way that is totally rediculus. The sad thing is that "some" people semi-believe things like this. Titanic is not a joke, and tragedies, no matter how long ago they happened shouldn't be poked fun at.

Hey, it's a classic example of "don't believe everything you read" story. I find it hard to believe that WWN can get away printing false stories like this and call themselves "the worlds only reliable newspaper". Funny. I can't find a publisher for my sci-fi story (of an intergalactic cruiseship that's got an out of control fire onboard), while WWN prints stories like this.
As for the funny in this story, what I mean is it's funny that this "newspaper" can print a (clearly) false story like this and not get in trouble with the law. How do they expect people to believe that Titanic is "sailing" just below the water's surface? Yeah, right. And I'll become a milloinaire-WHEN?! You're right though, M_Passwater. Tragedies, like Titanic, should be respected. May they all rest in peace |

Oh yeah I understand what you meant. I'm just commenting on my thoughts reguarding such a ludicrous news story. It is funny how that newspaper can even make money and continue to print copies.
