The ship in the movie was not moving at all. It did not move an inch. They used computers to make it look like it was moving.

Well, in both movies if you count the movie set moving. They were going 21 knots even though the top speed was 25 knots.

titanic was apposionly mentto be doing 23 knots in a ice field that was in the book titanic trumph and tragedy and in other books and was still picking up speed as that day captain smith order the ships other 6 boilers lit
