I think the important thing to do is try to keep wha we can on the ship that is durable stuff (stuff that will not decay as fast - bronze, brass, pocaline, ect. ) That way, when Titanic does fall apart and dissappear, she will still have a few pieces of her former glory that will probably last for thousands of years if remained untouched (Like the bronze wheel pedistal, propellers, and brass door knobs, plates, cups)
