Love it as much as I did when I first heard it. Funny, I just took a 14 hour trip down south and listened to "Back to Titanic" some on the way down. I remember taking the same trip 10 years ago listening to the same soundtrack (on cassette tape then). Favorite tracks are Titanic Suite, Epilogue (mostly the end), Jack Dawson's Luck (I love the violin here, and it's a fun piece). Of course I love ths first soundtrack as well.
I find it interesting how the story of Titanic touches the people who get involved with it so...I know Horner was drawn in by it and I think was his primary motivation for doing the second soundtrack, rather than money (as is often the case). Titanic is also his most unique, and best score in my opinion. Most of his other music all sounds the same pretty much and I think is rather "generic" (and you can hear still some of those common cues in the movie, but they are few and far between, and fit in the places where they are). And of course Cameron, and many of the cast and crew were admittedly touched and drawn into it.
