I think 'rumour' would be a better word to use -- especially since Paddy the Pig's tale was only documented (by Gardiner) in 1996. We could not say it was definately a rumour around pre-sinking without seeing some primary source documentation -- something that nobody has managed to find.

For what it's worth, I think there's a key to differentiate between Paddy's 'rumour' and Gardiner's theory itself, which is far more detailed.

yeah paddy the pig was not mentioned on the survivor's list under his real name "patrick james fennon' so he must have known someone on board or it is a coinsidens about what he said about the explosion point on the wreck above boiler room 6

Just because paddy the pigs name wasnt on the crew list doesnt mean he never sailed on her that nite.

Sort of does actually, there where a few lists made tabling survivers, he did not appear even once in any of them( I've looked), also his name was not on the list of people that boarded, and his name was not on white star's books.
