The only problem with this scenario is that, to the best of my knowledge, no Titanic survivor ever claimed to have seen Smith go down while standing at the wheel. (If such an account exists, though, I'd be interested in seeing it.)

It pays to remember that, without any eyewitness statements to back up one's opinion, one might as well express the opinion that Smith went down while playing a game of backgammon in the smoking room.

I was watching something on discovery once, and they said that there were some kind of crabs that would have eatin them or something.

my dad was reading popular sciece once. he said that a science lab got a hold of some steel from the titanic. they soaked it in salt water for like 72 hours or something. then they smashed it with about as much force as a 12 pound (weight) sledgehammer. it shattered like glass. to think, it was supposed to be unsinkable.

It seems that Titanic may only have 20-30 years, if that, sue to the structure integraty now,
