No, these where the two that caused White star to build the Olympic class Trio. There was the Aquitania , but that didn't really count

Hello,
The Aquitania was a 'near sister' although it depends on your opinion when you consider that the Aquitania was much larger, more luxurious and a little slower. White Star did respond to the Lusitania and Mauretania, but the fact that they were part of the reason for the construction of the 'Olympics' and that they had a later sister -- Aquitania (1914) are not mutually exclusive. Thanks, but I thought you were talking about the Aquitania in your post immediately above my last, when you said you did not consider her a true sister in light of the 'bond' between Lusitania and Mauretania?
