what's the difference between the 2-disc and the 4-disc?

I think the 2 disc, might just have the film, and a bonus disc. THe 4 disc will be more detailed, all pre, post production etc, we will see,

What I don't understand is why they could not fit the Titanic film in anamorphic widescreen on one disk in the first place. Alot of people will say it is because of disk space. But I watched "Das Boot" over the weekend. It was in full 16x9 aspect ratio with a new english soundtrack and 3hour and 19 minutes long. It also includes a 15 minute "making of" featurette. All of it fits on a single DVD disk. Why did the original DVD release of Titanic come out in such a crappy aspect ratio with no extra features?

I was livid, when I saw it was in letter box formart, or 4:3 if you wish. but it was rushed out, there is no deniying it, I was surprised they gave us the trailer, there was no director's comentry, or nuthing. Which makes this new version all the more better,

I think i might stick with the 2 disk unless the 4 disk has a lot of facts about the titanic. i'm not really into that directr's comments and stuff

I think the 4-disc will be along the lines of the extended lord of the rings, you know, 2disc's for the film, and 2 of the features. The 2 disc will just be the film, and probably an interactive disc, but whatever comes out, I am getting it.

Me also, I doubt they will shift many of the two disc's because those people will just want the fil, and they will probably already have it.

I'll also be going for the four disk set. Anyone have an estimate at the cost for these sets?

well... if one dvd is $20 then i'd say they'll probly go for $35+
