Cost might depend more on demand than anything else. It will be interesting to keep track of the sales figures to see if the popularity of the film is still going strong. Hopefully it will still be alive and kicking.

After the hype surrounding the Collector's Edition has died down, we will have to await the High Definition transfer of Titanic onto Blue Ray format in the future. Cameron has made no plans to do this just yet but the film has been transfered onto high definition for future distribution as soon as the technology becomes mainstream.

They have not yet descided blu-ray will be the next formart, however, it certainly looks that way. Blu-ray will first be shown on the new Playstation 3, which will be unveilled in may. If Titanic and other films are transfered, then that wont happen untill 2006-07 because there are certain problems with the formart. When the new formart is available, I would be sure, tha Titanic, will come out on it, aswell as other films.

Perhaps for 2007, when the film is 10 years old, they will do a tenth annivercery edition for the new formart.

In the mean time, I can't wait for this new Director's cut,

Blu-ray is most likely to be the new formart to replace DVD, it is just the new generation of it. The 1st versions will hold between 23-46GB of data. A lot when you compare that to a 4.5GB DVD. Sony are working on an 8 layer 200GB version, which will be due 2008-09. As for PS3, it's off topic to say, but it's gettin unveilled along with Xbox 2 in may in los angeles. It should be relased 2006-2007. Xbox 2 is due end of this year in Eurpoe, I do not know about America.
