If they empty out the contents of the cargo luggage department, it would make it alot easier. Plus then they could use the contents if any to help identify deceased. Altho it's a grave site for many it may help to give life to the many who didn't survive and were burried as unknown.

it would be grave-digging, she would fall apart, she would be a disgusting orange, and there would be no place to put her. they could really fix her up and use her as a restaurant. but it would cost millions just to fix it up. plus service and all that other stuff. did they really raise a 17- ton peice of her?

Yes they did its known as the big peace, I saw it on ma trip to vegas at the Titanic exhibit.

To even entertain raising Titanic....is stupidity beyond belief.

Of the 2200 aboard for that first and final voyage, over half of them are buried either aboard/within her or died nearby. It is a sacred place.
The Cameras and technology we've used to see more of her-that's a whole other story; we know now what we didn't prior.

But to even suggest disturbance of a mass grave that bringing her to the surface would cause, is disrespecting the 1300 souls who perished that night.

She should be left on the sea floor...for God to do with as he Wills.

I THINK THAT THEY SHOULD RAISE THE TITANIC BECAUSE IT WOULD BE A GREAT THING AND A AWESOME WAY TO BE ABLE TO LEARN ABOUT IT MORE.

I see what you are saying, but if you think about it, it would be a pretty cool experience to beable to see the Titanic in real life. I know that it wouod be a big disaster to have the Titanic raised but like I said i think it would be a great learning experience.

Perhaps but you woildnt exactly be able to walk through the ship, health and safety would never allow that to happen. My idea is to preserve the Britannic in a huge glass dome as its not that far down and drain the water and make a sort of musem, though that would be astranomically expensive, its the closest way to see Titanic, eventhough its really Britannic.
