This is because there is water inside the ship also, presure on the outside is being canceled out by the pressure inside meaning the ships hull is tacking little to no strain from water. Only its own weight.

Perhaps but you woildnt exactly be able to walk through the ship, health and safety would never allow that to happen. My idea is to preserve the Britannic in a huge glass dome as its not that far down and drain the water and make a sort of musem, though that would be astranomically expensive, its the closest way to see Titanic, eventhough its really Britannic.

you absolute alien being! that was my idea! i cant believe someone else thought of that!
to perserve titanic why dont they use displacement in which they stick a huge lump of zinc to the side of the hull, because zinc is more reactive that iron, the salt water only reacts with the zinc and not the iron! would it be too late tho?

i agree with bell...... titanic is too damaged to be raised to surface n besides if someone would try doing it, just what he would do is that titanic fall apart or break it into pieces.. also, the bow is 20 meters under ocean floor its almost impossible guys...
a better option could be britanic... cuz she almost looks like titanic n the place where she sank its not deeper than the atlantic.. so thats an adventage...
just im giving my point... by other side those ships are now a grave site, so ppl must have respect n considerely all people who died in 1912 that night...

see ya!

One idea that I have already said on a similar thread some months ago, is to replenish the iron in titanic or britannic or both! More likely to be britannic that way she will last another, well 90years almost, however its a slow and expensive proscess.

thats sounds good, but i dont think it'll work out at all....maybe yes n maybe not.... cuz the ship have been sumerged in the salty water more than 93 years.. so, the ship's iron is just too weak as a wer paper... n maybe it'll work cuz the iron could be treated with extremely care n have a little faith on it.... lol

see ya!

NO!!!!

I'd die if they ever did that. I swear I would. How are people going to raise a GRAVE! How would they feel If people went to the salvagers grave and open their momma's or daddy's or whatever relatives' coffin, and display it to a museum or make money with it! I bet they wouldn't be happy huh? Same thing with the Titanic. It's just Insane!

NO!!!

Who, in their right mind would raise the Titanic? It was the great ships final resting place, a gravesite, a memory, a wonder. Not some stupid place where you can come in, come out, and make yourself a millionaire by selling history. It's just wrong. Well, that's my point made.

See ya,
