We didn't see alot of ships the size of titanic, not passenger ships. We have like mamouth tankers that if they do make an acceident, spill the whole ocean with oil instead of passengers.
Soon i think we will have something like the titanicII, but it wouldn't be called the Titanic2 i think because this "titanic" name if associated with a ship will sound like that the ship is doomed. |

Yeah but it would be quite funny going over the Atlantic and all the passangers are scrambling onto lifeboats and are screaming their heads of at even the site of a small clump of ice!

This idea has been around forever, and I had the experience of working at a private bank here in Washington that was actually approached with the idea. They, of course, turned the idea down. Among the reasons were:
- Passengers expect larger, more luxurious cabins - with individual bathrooms (even the majority of 1st Class shared bathrooms!) - The large amount of redo the plans would take to make the thing sailable under current regulations - radar, sonar, GPS, etc., not to mention lifeboats, fire equipment, and so on. - The lack of amenities - a small public room for 3rd and 2nd class, for instance, not to mention no activities, no theater, no TV, no deck games, no tennis, a pool that people would dismiss as a bathtub, and squash court that is 2/3 regulation size. And on, and on. It's a wonderful idea for all those [i:28adb2f787]Titanic[/i:28adb2f787] fans out there, but we're only talking 5,000 people, tops - and then where are you going to get passengers? The average cruise ship has a life expectancy of 10 years as an "A" ship -you couldn't fill a [i:28adb2f787]Titanic[/i:28adb2f787] re-creation for two. Sorry, folks, it's a dead horse. |

Titanic already sank. How could they make another movie with a sequel title?

It was supposedly going to be a prequal. Fortunately, no one's interested.

Wouldn't that be something, a Titanic II. I would love to see it happen, but only a billionire would be able to contract for that project!!
As Teamtuna has said the ship would have to be outfitted with all the modern conveniences and safety factors. What would those tickets cost? Well what about a Titanic Museum? I wonder if people would pay just to look through it |
