Sincere admiration no doubt. Or he might be just a little bit sarcastic. Either way we are deviating from the topic guys. How big might this iceberg have been? Do other ships encounter icebergs on a regular basis? Or was this one berg an unusual one? |

I couldn't help but notice that you failed to cite a reason for believing I had such expertise to share. |

Jees! Thanks for sharing your grammatical superiority with the rest of us common folk... Hail Leoplumtree! (We're not worthy, we're not worthy) I can't help notice that you did not share your expertise on how big the iceberg could've, nay, "might've been". Please do go forth and bedazzle us with your witt and charm oh wise one. The spotlight is on you now. Hostility? Assured... |

Hostility? Please.
This person asked a question to which no one can really answer, and even provided the reason no one can answer. It could've been 'how big do you think the 'berg might've been?' or something along that order, but the question, worded as it was, simply can't be fully answered. |

Another hostile encounter on a discussion... It seems to be on the increase these days. I would surmize that the berg size ranged from anything between 50ft to 80ft above the waterline of the ship. Considering the various eywitness accounts as well as the location of broken ice on the forward well deck. But hey, that's just a estimate. I think Roseflower has asked a good question here... |
