What was so great about Gladitor? Alexander? Troy?
Lotr was the best trilogy ever! Star Wars. 8 movies, biggest movie franchise ever. Do you see Gladiator with any of these? NO |

There have (to date) been around 19 cinematic/television productions based upon the Titanic tragedy. Perhaps we should compare the total revenue generated by all things "Titanic" and then compare it to the 6 cinematic versions of Star Wars and see which of the two generated the most income. But comparing the one single James Cameron's Titanic to all the Star Wars movies is a bit unfair. May the force be with you...  PS: I think Gladiator in itself won more oscar nominations than all the combined Star Wars films. And so did The English Patient for that matter at the 1997 Academy awards. The list goes on and on... Even in it's entirety: The Star Wars saga might have generated alot more money, but not nearly as much acclaim as either abovementioned movies. If each of Lucas' films made as much money as Titanic did that would be a great accomplishment. |

There were 8. 5 in the 70's-80's and three new ones.
And Gladiator was not a very interesting film. Alexander, didn't get much hype. Troy, would have been good except Brad Pitt was in it. And can I ask you a question Clinton, have you even seen any of the Star Wars films? Because if you did, you would know what that line would actually be used for because you used it wrong. |
