There are various subs with the power to lift a sunken aircraft carrier with all it's cargo on board. So the Titanic could be lifted.
As i exlpained in the thread, "how long untill this great ship decintegrates." The Titanic is a shell but is far from being "Fragile". To a certain degree anyway.

If you read into books you will find it is only the outer shell that is fragile. And alot of the outer shell would be lost if lifted. I agree that it won't happen. The time and money needed is beyond comprehention. Atleast for the next 5-10 years. I think it should be left there. and even if i was a millionaire and could afford to raise it. There are to many laws protecting it.

BEll you are a very knoledgeable person and i agree that the idea is ludicrous!

Even though the Titanic may still have iron and steel in here with reasonable density, she still couldn't be lifted. As I said before, the hydrodynamic forces would be immense and would rip her apart on the ascend. Unless it was done extra slowly. Look at what happened to the stern (and the bow section, but to a lesser degree, due to weight and design) on the way down, when the ship was still new...

Titanic is in a pretty bad way. Most fo the outer shell will just be a dense muddy substance.

Very sad

You can stay down there as long as you want, just aslong as ure sub has enough fuel. Titanic can not be raised, the idea came about due to the theroy that the cold would preserve the ship. Not really, its a frail shell which is NOT structurally sound atall. There are no subs big enough to pull it up, barely any ships to pull it up and even if there was, then what. Pull it ALL the way to nyc? I think not

this idea is ludacris

it wont happen!
