I am so proud of my Christmas present I received I have to tell everyone about it because there are a few more left. I got 1 of 1000 of a Franklin Mint Collection RMS Titanic ship. It is beautiful it is carved in mahogany, and painted by hand. Individually hand signed autograph of Millvina Dean, one of the last survivors of the ill-fated luxury liner. Showcased in a display built into the polished wood base, and actual piece of coal - recovered from the Titanic's wreckage. It comes with much COA paper work. A brass plate on the front displays my ship is 427 of 1000. It is hand signed by Millvina Dean. A chunk of actual Titanic coal is in a red velvet pocket in the base. The details are unbelieveable. The ship is about 2 foot long. You can read about it at Franklin Mint's website, http://www.franklinmint.com/Product1.aspx?SID=2&Product_ID=471
You can click on the ship to see a enlarged view. Just think this is signed by a actual survivor of the titanic, you get a artifact from the Titanic and you get a beautiful 1/500 scale model of the ship. All in one! This is a great addition to my collection I am very proud of and want to share with the group. |

Now that's a fine lookin model! I'm sure the picture doesn't do justice for it. More like you have to see it to really appreciate it.

Why would you think his parents bought it for him? But yeah very nice, i was in the Titanic exhibition in las vegas a year ago, and in the shop they had one of those models, i belive it was the 773 of 1000. From the breif look i took, i can understand how you would be proud of it.

I noticed that link to Franklin Mint is no longer active. They are no longer as a company offering this ship any longer for sale. You will have to find personal venders that have any unsold collectables. Just in case! I have access to two more new in a box ships. These are getting very rare now. If interested contact me.
