I heard many versions about destruction of Titanic - explosion in a coal bunker, insurance swindle, torpedo attack, a mistake in T.Andrews's project and about the Egyptian mummy...

I'm very sure it was an iceberg.
You have too many credible witnesses who survived. Such as the two lookouts (Fleet and Lee), Quatermaster Hitchens at the wheel, Fourth Officer Boxhall (who was walking to the bridge right as it happened), Quartermaster Rowe who saw the berg pass as he stood on the docking bridge at the stern. The people who's cabin had ice fall in it because their porthole was open(I cant remember their names now). Plus, how did all of that ice get on the starboard well deck? What conspiracy story did you hear? Explosion in a coal bunker due to fire ? Insurance scam that involved Olympic actually sinking? |
