I think that if the titanic were still around today, it would still be usable. if not usable, then i think that it would at least be a museum or something. I really doubt that it would be scrapped.

Right I will go on record and say Titanic would have been scrapped. In the mid 30s the Americans had restricted immigrants, the industries turnover halved, ships of her size where not needed, she was prone to micro-cracking Olympic showed this after 24 years, just think how bad Titanic would be now after years or of we go by time of when she was built 94-95 years. New liners like Normandie and queen Mary and Elizabeth would trump her, and know one would go on her over the newer bigger more stylish liners. Rust would have already caused damage, now we can treat this, but by now the damage would have already been done. She would have to have survived ww1 and ww2, and you think the Germans would a not bomb her in the battle of Britain; she would need to serve the UK in both wars, her sister Britannic sank during WW1, Titanic may have also. For all these reasons and more I'll state, 'yes she would have been scrapped'.

Actually, a made for tv movie was made, tho it was based on Brit, it focused on a fictional story about a german spy on board. Much like Titanic 1997, it had it's own romance story. See here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0190281/ |

Yes and steel was replaced not only there but also along the bow, so it was a very bad accident. Though she still managed to serve for another Quater of a century almost.
