Glad to help, anyway, one thing i wanted to know is why was the descision to inclose the promanade deck taken so late. If the two where the same on 2nd of march 1912, then it would be hard to say it is rubbish for a switch if the big distinguishin feature was not in place till late on. But od cource many differences where in place, such as some vent's etc.

who knows why they did the inclosed promanade thing so late, maybe they chose to do that feature last for some unknown reason

A guy named J. Bruce Ismay was on the maiden voyage of the Olympic. he spent most of the cruise walking around and observing. he noticed that hardly anyone used the b-deck, everyone was using the a-deck. never mind. go to google. type in RMS Olympic. exactly like that. some sites should come up. It should be the first site, but if it's not keep looking. you'll know when you've found the right site, because the typing is all in blue. the title says: RMS Olympic; Old Reliable. that's the one. it's where i have found most of my information on her other than reading through the discussion forum.
good luck.

Yeah, he went on record saying, it was an extravagant use of space, and that know one used it. Also, for some reason the window on the front half of the ship cause problems during the sinking's of Titanic and Britannic, I don't know why that is but a never made it up. So perhaps they felt it best to keep it that way. Also, Olympic even if all had gone to plan about the 3 ships, it would still be the flagship, so perhaps they wanted it to be distinctive, to the other 2.
