"Titanic" - the musical - is coming to Liverpool, England!! Liverpool, the registered home of the Titanic. The show will be presented by WKLOS at the Liverpool Empire theatre from 8th - 11th June 2005. "Titanic" was the winner of 5 Tony awards, including the best musical of the year in 1997. It has only recently been made available for performance in the UK and has made a really great and moving impression in those small theatres where it has already been perfomed. The performance in June 2005 by WKLOS will be the first in a major UK theatre.
(The Liverpool Empire is the largest UK theatre outside London). This will be its Liverpool premiere. A cast of 100 will tell the moving story. The star of the show is the Titanic herself. Titanic has many connections with Liverpool. Not only was the ship registered in Liverpool, but the Offices of the White Star Line were situated there and from the first floor window, the news of the terrible tragedy was announced. Livepool has a permanent Titanic Exhibition in its Maritime Museum. Both Bruce Ismay and Captain Edward Smith had very close Liverpool connections. they have a play about it and it is crap, and now they want to make a musical?!?!? you bet nobody will see that one...they'd be crying when they came out...because it was so horrible...

titanic4ever, do you live in the usa? i do and even if they come here, they wont come to my town, which sucks big time.

I also got to see the Exhibit too, I loved that, because I got to meet a person who knows Robert Ballard. But when I got to see I want to say it was about 7ish years ago.
