I certainly appreciate all of those opinions here regarding this subject.

I agree as well that there is only ONE Titanic, and my belief is that nothing, not even a newbuild, will ever replace Titanic, or her legacy.

My name is Joseph Ricker, and my non-profit corporation, the SS Titan Foundation, is currently working on plans to build the world's largest liner, Titan, as a vessel to honor and carry on the memory of Titanic for future generations in living detail.

All "profits" from the operations of Titan will be funneled into our charitable trust, which will oversee the distribution of these funds to other non-profits and research organizations whose goals are the eradication of deadly childhood diseases such as cancer, HIV-AIDS, and many others, in addition to assisting global organizations working towards helping those less fortunate children who are suffering from famine, abuse, illiteracy, and homelessness.

By doing this, it can be an effective and lasting legacy, a positive if you will, to come from such tragedy so many years ago.

hey i mighty agree wiht you!!! however is this plan possible? maybe you build one when you grow up then! but i hope they make a museum on the titanic in my country singapore so i can go see it anytime!

I personally think we should sooo make another Titanic, to honor all lost on the original one. It would be an honor to sail on it, of course i would want it to be just like the original, and I would want for everyone to dress and act like they way the people did on the original did. Of course I know its to much to ask, but a girl can dream cant she?

I don't think a new Titanic should be biult. There is only ONE Titanic! I think a new Titanic would just destroy the memory of the original.

Hi, i think it would be a good idea, but if it was to be done i would want it to be an exact replica, and in this day and age people dont have the skill to build a ship to that quality, plus you would have to make it to modern safe and healthy standards if the ship was to sale, so it could not be an exact replica

yea i think its a great idea to rebuild titanic.... i mean, that'll be exciting for all of us.... be walkin' in the upper decks n lower decks of the ship.... watch the dome n all the grandstaircase with your own eyes... i think it'll be somethin' u couldn't explain... but, besides i dont think its fair for the fated ill titanic lying in the bottom of the ocean... you know, its like if the new ship'll steal the fame of the other.....!
