Has anyone in this forum personally crossed the Atlantic aboard a ship in recent years to lay a wreath of some kind over the wreck site?

It has been a lifelong pilgrimage for me to be at the very spot where this wonderous ship went down and to pay my respects.

What would you do if you had that oppertunity?

I have never but I hope to soon go on the QM2 for a trans atlantic crossing. A friend of mine said that the ship on titanics aniversary may head in that direction but a would's fell comfortable going there I think it is not very tasteful.

if I could go down into the and see the titanic in a water pod or something I would 100% go go go, but ive heard you can actually pay this company or something to take you out in the water with them (where titanic sunk) and they take you down to actually see and explore it. but its realyyyyyyy expensive only a billion air would beable to go :( so looks like thats another lotto ticket ive got to buy to make a dream come true.

It'd be amazing to just be over the wreck site. To think that people were there on that night, running up and down the decks of the worlds most famous ship, fleeing for their lives...

that's what's so amazing about the wreck. at one point there was this huge hulking mass there with 1000+ppl dead in the water. no one could miss it. not even a blind man. but now if u don't know much about the Titanic then u probly wouldn't even know that u were over the wrck site unless someone told u

In a way that is good because if a ship were to pass over the wreck and everyone was told by the captain, you would probably find some of the passangers throwing objects into the water like coke cans etc. just to spoil the sacred wreck's debris field with commonplace objects.

This raises the question of ships passing the area should divert away from the wreck site or not?

well...there's a lot of wreck areas. if the crews could just moniter the ppl on board while going over wreck sites, then i think that it might be better

Can you imagine seeing new images of the bow littered with bottles of vodka and cans of Cola?
