there is a time during Titanics fitting out that both Olympic and Titanic are sitting next to each other. Now by my recogning the one on the left is Titanic and Olympic is on the right. However there are tons of sites that say the opposite. Infact to my knowledge twice as many argue with my theroy on which is which.

So what do you think the pic is also on this site to, go and look and see if you agree with me that Olympic is on the right. There are a few taken from different angles.

Here is the link to the pic on this site.

I believe in the opposite my friend. The Titanic is on the right and the Olympic is on the left. You can see clearly in the picture the vessel on the right has the side lookout post cabins while the one on the left I don't see. On the Titanic, the lookout cabins were on both sides of the ship on in the front of the ship.

If it was't for that tug we could see the promanade deck clearly. But even so am sure the one on the right has an open deck. However I think this picture was taken during Titanics finishing so maybe the pic is misleading in that respect.

Sorry to those who guess the Titanic is the one on the right. Very simple the ship on the right is the Olypmic. Here are the two ships I have placed one on top the other.

Now look at the open deck on the Olypmic that extent from aft to sten. The Titanic has the aft portion enclosed for comfort and sleek cosmetic appearance.

Now on this set I have a closer look from the opposite side, note the enclosed deck extending back on the Titanic.

The picture you submitted Bell had the walkway open from aft to stern. Click on that picture in question and it will enlarge for a better view.

Does this settle the arguement? Bookmark my pictures and use for future reference, I will keep them up for awhile.

From what I can see, the ship on the left is Olympic cause of the open promonade. But one thing must be considered the photo maye have been flipped over this sometimes happens when photos are reproduced for publication. With that being said and the photo is right I agree with you and Sundance. Hope your teacher dosen't mind being wrong? Ernie
