I think that if the titanic did not sink back then it. I think that she would have made more than $350,000,000 more than it actually did she certainly would have gained routine customers.

If Titanic had not sunk she probablywould have mirrored Olympic's career- troop transport or hospital ship during the great war, converted to black oil in the 1920s, and scrapped in the 1930s.
The interesting question would be what would Titanic's survival done to the health of White Star-
The company bet a huge amount on the three sisters- one sunk on her maiden voyage, another never made it to passenger service. Only Olympic had a passenger career.
I believe if Titanic had not sunk, there would not have been a Cunard buy out, and there might be a White Star today. Financially, White Star would have been much better off, and a stronger competitor to Cunard in the 1920s and 30s.
As it is, the company lost big when Titanic sank, and again when Brittanic was lost leaving Olympic. as the only north Atlantic run steamer for White Star which could compete with Mauretania and Aquitania in the immediate post war era.

or it could have gone the way of the Carpathia and been hit by a torpedo..everyone talks about what would have happened, but that kind of vessel would never have lasted, thanks to airplane development and all that, and true they were desgined with the luxury of the rich in mind, but its main use was to ferry the poor to the new world, the vast amout of people comeing and going would have and did, far out strip what the rich elite passenger in profits by the simple fact of greater numbers. the fare was lower but they could pack more people in steerage per square foot of room. as opposed to all the room the 1st class wanted and used
