I can not say for sure if I am or not but some of my family is from Ireland,Germany and France and can to America around that time. The only problem I don't know their names just that they came here around that time. So I may be.

I don't know for sure, but there were three people on board with the Fox surname. One was a crew member, one was in third class and one was in second class. All male and all perished. I have often thought about trying to find out wether there is any relationship or not, one day I will.
Sorry if this is not very exciting. :? :( |

I have been informed that one of my great Auntie's lost her life on the Titanic that night.
All that I know is she was a nanny going go America to start a new life. Unfortuantely all my relatives that knew the story have since passed away so its very difficult to find out. I was told that her surname was Monk but I have looked on the list of passengers that lost there lifes non stated therefore leading me to think she changed her name before she left. |

cole, the only people i can think of who were nanny's are these:
Alice Cleaver, Elizabeth Dowdell and Elizabeth Burns, all of themsurvived. i couldn't find anyone with that surname either. its quite possible that she is one of the lost passengers who not much is known about. you say she was one of your great aunts. do you know how she was connecte to you [i:23e6b7b7e0]ie[/i:23e6b7b7e0] through your mother or your father? if you do know perhaps you can work back and work out what her name was, or at least her surname. i hope you find out. :) |
