That was cool. Thanks for sharing that with us. But they missed one (obvious) goof. Third class passengers weren't allowed on the bow! The bow was for crew only! Third class had the well deck and poop deck. Rose wouldn't be allowed to "fly", and Jack and Fabrizio wouldn't be allowed to see the Statue Of Liberty ("Very small, of course"). Still, James Cameron decided to ignore this little fact and give third class the bow.

The name never exsists where as you can see it on the bow as in the photos. Untouched photographs will help support this. I looked at that thread and I'm holding any comment on that theory till I research that a little more. I will know more about it by tonight.

It's been said that it was a limitation of the day's photography the prevented capture of the lighter lettering against the darker surroundings. I can't tell you if this is true or not.
