I had bought Titanic Explorer when I was running Windows 98...I was about to try it on XP last Sunday (when I was at my folks' house) but I was in a hurry and didn't install it! It would be a shame if it doesn't run on XP :(

Hello Teamtunafish,
You can choose from several compatibility modes if you go for the advanced settings, like win98 and resolution. I bet you have a new computer screen now so the resolution could be set to go down. It can affect memory usage, as higher resolution relates directly to memory. Some times your computer has alot of memory, but programs that can't manage it will fail early. |

I adjusted the screen size, so that's not it. Don't worry too much guys, I'm out a whole $15 if it doesn't work.

[quote:e234f761f2="Teamtunafish"]Does anyone else have one of these? Because I just got one, and now it refuses to run. I've got Windows XP, but I'm running it on compatibility wizard, so that shouldn't be a prob - it keeps saying it needs 3mb to run and I've got [i:e234f761f2]gobs[/i:e234f761f2] more memory free than that.[/quote:e234f761f2]
i have one and it runs pretty good on my computer . I haven't had any trouble yet ( my computer is windows mellinium) 8) |

Windows Mellenium is about the same architecture as windows 98, XP on the other hand is a very different build from scratch compared to win98 so
what they are trying is compatibility mode to become win98. but that is not 100%:(( Thanks for your tip tough. So now we know 98 and ME works fine. |
