Hello i'm a french student who study in Liverpool I am very interested in the stories about the titanic disaster and i have to present a cultural project about this subject that's why I'd like to know what are the websites in which I can trust because I noticed that we can find different information for the same thing so it seems to be difficult to know the real facts. For example I'd like to know if a picture of the iceberg really exists and where i can find it. I've already gathered much information but i'd like to find a website in which i could download a video of the wreck from the shock with the iceberg until the time that the titanic hits the seafloor, if someone could send me a link...Furthermore, I look for a map which shows the place in which the Titanic sinked and last question: Did the Heart of the Ocean really sink with the ship?

Thanks. (I wish you will understand my English)

The heart of the Ocean is not real, it's fake, the pics I've seen with an iceburg were not 100% sure if it's the one. And with the info, there might be a couple of different reasons, because some of the things they are not sure as to what happened. I hope this helps you a little bit.

I know I have a pic. in one of my books but I'm not sure if it's on the internet at all.

I might be able to look for it later on.

They were not sure if that's the iceburg or not.

Funky,
This gentleman has a picture that he claims is the original iceberg that sank the Titanic. I use to have his site but cannot find it.
He has the picture on his site and gave me permission to use it in an exhibit. This is his email address:
His name is H. Pfeifer

The captain of a ship took a picture of an iceberg with a strip of red paint on it the day after the disaster (and in the same area). :D

As you can see, there are several pictures out there of "the" iceberg - all with fair documentation, but none that are unquestionably "it". Every so often a new candidate emerges, but the three really good ones are before you.

The only video I know of about that covers when the iceberg actually hit the ship and what happened just after is in "Myths of the Titanic", which was available from Discovery.com last year, although it might not be anymore. If not, you sometimes can find copies on eBay - or watch for it in your tv listings - it's an excellent show.
