I would pick none. We shouldn't take things from the site. But, if I could get a model that looks like the real artifact, I'd probably pick the Small artifact: A cup or something. Big artifact: The ship's wheel.

why? Small artifact: it was "used" by a passenger
Big artifact: bcuz it "controlled" where the ship went and looked cool.

If everyone thought like you then the musems would all be empty because every old thing we have has came mostly from graves. Theres lots of things down there that belong to white star and not to passengers so i cant see whats the harm. But we are all intitled to our own opinion. Id also like to get my hands on one of those large models so if you hear of a place selling them let me know.

Wow, interesting question Collie.
Considering I have replicas of the China and the jewelry and..those are wonderful and I have actual coal brought up... this is a tough question...

The ships log would be interesting to have..knowing every move the ship made.. Or a deckchair..or maybe an original piece of the china.

We are intiled to our opinion like u said but don't u think that they should leave the real things down there in memory of the 1,500 people that died that night?

Nope.. I think they should bring them up while they can, someday it'll be too late and they won't be able to get anything else. Besides they're not doing any good on the ocean floor and they'll deterorate anyways. And stuff such as china and things like that didn't belong to the passengers and the things that DID belong to the passengers, you can learn alot from those artifacts. Who the person was, where they were going, 1st or 3rd class.. SO many things. I have nothing against artifacts being brought up. It's a grave site yes, but they don't disturb the ship (ie distroying it to get to something ie: the car) and they leave the things such as boots where a person looks as if they landed there alone.

Again i have to agree with my wee mate Rosie, Worse things have been done to the egypians and the inca and i dont hear to many complain when they go to museums to see these things. As people we love that sort of thing. If a person were to die today. The hospital would cut that person up into bits and carried out tests not caring what the family thought about it. Which is much worse than bringing up the artifacts.

Well if anyone here has been to one of the exhibits then you'll know how amazing and interesting it is to see things that were actually ON the Titanic and that were brought up but amazingly some are still in like new condition.

Even if you're against salvage, the exhibits are so moving, if you haven't been might I suggest you try to catch one when it comes to your area.. I've been to 3 and loved them all. I have a good friend who works in one on some occasions, when she does she dresses the part and goes around as a passenger interacting with the visitors of the exhibit.
