Did they ever find any proof to back up claims that the gates to the third class were locked ? Or have the gates rotted away

Last I heard they stick to the fact that they weren't. ( I'm thinking just to save face) I did however, see in a documentary a few pictures taken in 3rd class areas where the gates were indeed locked. However, it was only a few gates. What they're saying the reason for this is, that gates were locked the whole trip for health reasons and during this crisis, people were so caught up in trying to save the ship, it must have slipped their minds that the gates needed to be unlocked. (Which in all honesty, I suppose could have happened)
So, I guess since no one is alive to confirm or deny that the gates were locked for health reasons, we'll never REALLY know the truth. I mean, of course even during trials they would have said that to save face. ( I personally would not admit to having locked the gates to stop 3rd class from entering 1st class areas to get a lifeboat, would you? lol)

Ofcourse WSL would deny any locking of gates. The WSL officers denied the ship breaking in 2.

In several documentories of the wreck you can see if you look good enough they sometimes show what looks like a gate. Actually in this past one back in June when they were at the broken end of the bow I'm pretty sure I saw a gate..
