Yeah she was going to become a university, but she was scrapped on the spot of where she meets her end, shame really.
I seen this diagram of a possible Titanic 2, but know one has made any effort to build her. She measures 1001feet long 108feet wide and roughly 200feet high, so she is bigger, but she has the same number of decks etc, but each is higher to give less impression of being hemmed in. Other advances is she has a larger rudder, now much has been made of the Titanic rudder being to small for the ships size, but based on data from Olympics sea trials it is fine, but even so it's bigger. 3 high efficiency screws (propellers) bigger than originals. She has a horizontal stabilizer for guess what more stability, bow thrusters, and the propellers can adjust by 15 degrees depending on the desired direction. She has all the most modern credentials, crow’s nests are actually antenna for communications all over the world, all fitted with night vision that allows for military grade vision. 1st funnel is to vent gases from combustion, 2nd 3rd and 4th are made of a special skin for solar energy. Life rafts added to ship, that allow for another 3000 tons more bouncy which means if it hits a berg and is going to go down in 3 hours she will have another 18-20 mins which can make all the difference. A triple layer hull, outer is 3.5inch inner 2inch and other inner 1.5 inch steel. Bulbous bow, bulkheads go up to A-deck and there are 26 of them instead of 16, but this ship is not designed to be a mass public service liner, more for a select group such as that ship the 'world', she only has 8 lifeboats but each hold 65 people, but the ship will never have more than 400 people on board so it's adequate. Anyone who wants to see the ships diagram send me an e-mail to Remember this might just be someone who was board and just made this all up, but it's good to see what the ship may become. Cya ppl |

In 1972, she mysteriously caught fire and sank while undergoing conversion in Hong Kong. She was eventually sold for scrap. To learn more about her retirement and demise, click here. |

I don't understand this mystique about a voyage on a successor to the Titantic. Except for a similar name, the two ships would be drastically different in construction and appearance.
You could probably achieve just as much satisfaction booking a voyage on any trans-oceanic liner. That is what I'm planning to do. I have crossed the Pacific both ways. Now I want to cross the Atlantic. |

What is confusing? I mean as far as he said it will cost $486000000, and 3 years to get the company up and runing in full, so? |

So is it just going to be Titanic, or are you going to build other ships. But then again I suppose that will depend on the profits of this buissiness venture.
