Film is made so it can appeal to the largest possible audience, Titanic needed romance, because that was what it was about, they needed some historical accuracy, and they needed some action, the part when the ship split in two, was extremely overdone it was nothing like that, the ship was at that angel, but she was far more submerged. It is just to make it more Hollywood, all films do it, Braveheart couldn’t be more historically inaccurate if they tried, was half expecting a space ship in it, but again its to make it easier to take in and appeal to more people hence, make more money.

I phrased my question incorrectly. What I meant to ask: "Why is the stern more damaged than the bow?" Reefblue has explained very well and I understand now.
Sorry for the confussion guys and girls. |

I don't think the ryhme was intended, just a one-off thing.

did you read this thread? that's what i said. (no rhyme intended)...so, for clarification, the bow is recognizable and in relatively decent shape(considering it's on the bottom of the ocean and the stern is (to quote myself) "a bloody mangeled mess"...oi vey |

I wouldn’t agree with that because, for a ship to lose bouncy its weight has to be equaled by the water, so the stern must have been filled with water, at least half. I believe the stern is in such bad condition because, as the ship separated, the stern was torn, and partly due to the compression that you said.
For the stern to be in that condition completely due to the pressure, I am sure the damage would be different, it looks more like the stern has been torn rather than crushed, but in my view it's both factors. |
