i don't agree because 1) it's already in a VERY fragile condition...think about the damage it would suffer on the way up...2)it IS a memorial for many people...3)the cost of the whole endeavor is sky high...4) a replica of the original would serve as a modern day memorial just as well...

In my opinion is that they not should raise the titanic because Titanic is a story that nobody can forget. Also titanic is a history that people is going to remember about 100 years more.

1,500 people perished that night that need not have. So let us honor them, the fallen, by not salvaging the ship. Let nature take its course and claim the ship for itself. Bringing up items will not best remember them but rather only serve us wishing to glance at dishes and other assorted trinkets to be brought up. Let it remain a memorial, like the USS Arizona, remembered always but not disturbed.

why cant they just go with the plan of building a new ship....many people have said that its going to cost lots of money...well look at the new qeen mary....Thats alot bigger than the new titanic that was going to be built...so i dont get it...

When I say preserve the ship, that means injecting the fresh iron into the hull, such technology is new and never been attempted on a ship that size. It would be to expensive, but u know money is't everything.
