yup he was real alright, he has been talked about for quite a while now.

but his character in the 1997 film played him so falsly, he never shot himself, he was a good man

so murdoch was real. i figured they put him in there just to show how depressed these people were at the time of the sinking.

There has been heavily critiscised parts in the original film, they would have to cut parts out it they wanted to get the publics view.

Please not a Murdoch discussion. There is no proof he did or did not shoot himself. His body was never recovered so no one knows. Simple as that.

As for it being cut out, I highly doubt anything will be cut out of the original film, things are being added, not cut.
