I saw this show also, It was good but as someone has already pointed out a lot of the footage was from the Discovery Documentary. In a way I felt a bit sorry for Tony as they seemed to have spent the majority of the trip picking up ROV's and not examining the ship itself. In some shots he looked bored! Knowing how precious the dives are I think that particular one was used as a rescue mission rather than a tour of Titanic. I felt the program could have been a lot better and having been there myself I know Tony missed out.
It was ok though.... |

The Stern was much bigger than the bow but the bow was a lot cooler than the stern because the stern was fat and stuck out a lot when the bow sank!!! But it's hard to find a better part cause the bow and the stern have good points as well as bad points and so i can't reach a judgment!!!! Could someone please help me

The show did not feature enough information about the stern or the bow

I only saw a small part of it :(
I think most of the ship should be preserved so nothing gets forgotten. That glass window amazes me tho how it survived the sinking. |

I watched a program last night about James Cameron’s last trip to the Titanic resting place.
He was joined by Tony Robinson who was asking him questions on the way down in the submarine, Tony started asking James what he thought the ships crew could have done to save more people. Hs response was that they could have done one of two things, one was to put the ship in reverse and head for the lights in the distance (presumed to be the Californian) or to put some people on the iceberg, by lowering them down using the lifeboat davits. The first solution is somewhat believable and could have been tried (although I don’t think it would have worked), but the second question is likeable to a story line in one of James films! Dose he seriously think they could have got a ship that size that close to the ice berg, with out doing more damage. What’s more they probably would have passed the iceberg, as the ship would not have stopped that fast at 22knots. It was a great show, with some great pictures of the Duff Gordon’s clock in there state room, and some glass in a door which had never been seen before. He tried to get the ROV to the boiler rooms but the floors had caved in from when he reached the squash court. I wonder if anyone else saw this show and what are there thoughts on James’s suggestions? Lee. |
