Yeah, someday I am going to get the 4 hour one on DVD as well. I have it on tape but my VCR broke.
I just wish "Birth of a Legend" would come out on DVD! I also wish I could find that special that the Discovery Channel had exploring the wreck where James Cameron explored the Strauss's cabin and found the gold clock still on the fireplace. The other cool part was him exploring the turkish baths. It's awsome to see what is still left in those rooms! |

MGY Friend, you're right!
I was thinking of Titanic: Death Of A Dream and Titanic: The Legend Lives On! Sorry 'bout that. Still, I consider it one of the best documentary, too. |

rip 1912, are we talking about the same documentary?
I was referring to the one that shows the detailed construction of the ship, narrated by Charles Dance. It had computer graphics re-creating the constuction and the launch, and talk about the Gaurantee group. And I thought it came out a couple of years ago on the Discovery Channel. It was only an hour long as well. I think the one you are talking about is a different documentary that is over 4 hours in lenght. Is it narrated by David Macullum? It originaly aired in like 1995 or something and was a two part: Titanic : Death of a dream , and Titanic: The legend lives on. There are a couple of formats to this, as I have seen it called "Titanic the complete story" on Amazon. Nevertheless, the one you are talking about is in my opinion the best documentary in depicting the entire history. |

I've got it on VHS for @ 5 years now. I would assume that it's in DVD form by now. It's an awesome documentary film, that's on 4 tapes. If A&E shows it again, check it out.
If you only see one documentary on Titanic this year, this is the one to see. |

I love this documentary as well and would like to get it on DVD.
Does anyone know if it is available yet? I can't find it. |
