teamtuna,
I did not know you had to get permission to go into certain cemeteries. The ones near me you do not have to, is it only certain denominations? |

[quote:17665b0024="Betty"]I thought I read somewhere that the cemetery in Halifax was in the shape of the Titanic/ship or maybe the bow of the ship? But can't seem to find where I read it or if someone told me.
Does anyone know[/quote:17665b0024] Betty, I think it is. I have seen pictures of that cemetery your talking about and it does look like the bow of the ship. :) |

You can get permission to go to the Baron de Hirsch cemetary from the synagouge that runs it - if you're interested I'll see what I can do.

I found this in a 1998 booklet, so this information might be changed by now or not.
The Baron de Hirsch Cemetery is not normally opened to the public |

While visiting Halifax we visited rwo of the cemetaries to pay our respects. We were not sure if you could visit the Baron Von Hirsch cemetary. Is that possible or is that a private cemetary?
