i am researching the cornish passengers. Today i visited the homes of Ada West and Joseph Charles Fillbrook.
Ada's home is sadly no longer there, there is a shop on the site where it was which is being refurbished. i have still got to visist her brothers home, with whom she stayed after returning to England. Josephs house is still very much there. it has new windows and a door but the building its self is still standing strong. i am going back soon to take photo's i will see if Jelle will put them in the albumn on this website. soon i will be going to Penzance and St. Ives where quite a few of the cornish passengers lived. i will spend the day visiting old homes and cemetry's where people are buried. i will take pictures of those aswell when i go. sorry if i have bored you all, but this is a big thing for me because for the past two years i have been suffering from Agrophobia but researching these people has gotten me out of the house and back into society. :) |
