right this is going around everywere
the nomadic is said to be the only white star vessel in exsistance but this isent factual as the qm is one of white star ships!!!! although she was built by cunard and white star line. the nomadic is a true white star ship but not the only one as the qm is the other by rights just has a share of cunard thats all like but i still think the noamdic is close to a whie star ship as posible and remains the only true one in the world |

The last that I read on the nomadic, they were taking donations to help restore this Ship, are they still excepting donations today?

I have to agree about that as the nomadic is in very good hands and i am really pleased on how well the nomadic is comeing and the nps are doing a fantastic job in the restoration work.
It is fantastic too see history been brought back to its former glory once again. Makes me proud to be a historian to see the history items been rebuilt keep up the great work nps |

But I wish I could have had my wedding onboard Nomadic like that other couple!!! How cool would it be to say you got married on the only White Star vessel left? |

Nomadic was based outside the Odyssey complex in Belfast between Easter 2007 & Halloween 2007. During that time just over 18,000 visitors came to see her - there was even a wedding onboard.
She has been moved back to where she spent last winter - Barnett's Dock - ( near the Stena ferry terminal in Belfast) so that more restoration work can be carried out in time for next year's tourist season. Strider_uk (Nomadic Preservation Society member) |
