Oh I get along with her just fine. I treat her better then her 3 sons do. They're MEAN to her. I'm nice to her. Just saying she frustrates me..... :)

Rosie, I was very sorry to hear of your mother on laws death....It's sad to lose a loved one, especially when you didn't get to know them very well. :)

Is it not better that the lady is showing an interest. If she didnt care it would be a lot worse. People dont mean to take over they only try to help im sure that she only wants what best for her boy.And one day God willing if you have children of your own you will do the same im sure. Try to get on with her like Rosie says if she was not about you would most likely miss her.

All I can say is be glad you have a mother in law... my mother in law died of cancer 2 1/2 years ago and I never really got to know her. She died 2 weeks after I moved in with my husband. So despite disagreeing with her or something she says you don't like, deal with it be glad your MIL is still around... I know I wish mine was. My hubby was really rather close to his mom..

I know. It's tiring. Everytime I think I have it all worked out, his mom will be like, now you know Jenn, you have to do this...or that.....and I'm just like, oh god, now what. She's frustrating me. :) But, I guess that's what happens with your in laws!

Oh goodness, I have like, a list of about a million things I have to do for this wedding...and it's all superstition stuff. Mostly because the grooms and his family are VERY superstitious. Like, I have to have something old, something new, something barrowed and something blue...and a sixpence in my shoe. We have to be pronounced only when the second hand on a clock is going up, not down....it's for good luck. Girls can't wear black. If it rains it's good luck. I can't think of any more right now, but there are like, a million.

It's a widely known tradition to save the top part of your cake and put it in the freezer and eat it on the 1st anniversary. People have been doing it for years.. And even in Europe people do it, when I ordered my cake the guy at the bakery mentioned that people here are starting to do it more.
