Here is a link to a 150 room abandoned mansion that my friends and I used explore as teenagers. It was awesome and we explored every room over a 3-year period including the grounds and all of the underground basements.
This mansion is located in Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania. In its heyday, the mansion was visited by J.P. Morgan (owner of the IMM including White Star Lines Titanic), Henry Ford (Ford Motor company), General Douglas MacArthur, the King and Queen of Sweden as well as the rest of Philadelphia society. On a side note, when I visited the Titanic Museum in Orlando Florida, they had one of the only known photos of the grand staircase from the Titanic. The photo was also from Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania and I suspect that it has some kind of connection to the mansion. Someone has posted a great website about the mansion! This is definitely worth a look!! Check it out and you can get an idea of how Philadelphia society used to live. Let me know what you think.. Follow the link! http://www.serianni.com/wh.htm Regards, Joe From Pa. |
