Okay, as most of us know, the "official" damage to Titanic was 12 square feet spreading over 300 feet (two feet into Boiler Room 5). We know that it was done by separating rivets, or bent plates as Titanic hit the iceberg. What I'm curious about is people's opinions on what official damage was done to Titanic. For the most part, with the condition that the bow is in after hitting the sea floor, we will probably never know. This thread is about throwing ideas out that may make sense. No crazy theories (i.e. my brother's "giant squid" theory), Titanic/Olympic swaps, just theoretical ideas about what damage could have been sustained to bring the largest ship of the world to the bottom of the ocean 5 days out of port.
