I found the following article very interesting. http://www.encyclopedia-titanica.org/articles/morning-after_nielsen.pdf
The controdictions are amazing even seasoned veterans like Lightoller's testimony on page 10 was in direct controdiction to scores of other rescuers of other ships even hours later. And actual photos of the floating bodies bring to question the accuracy of Officer Lightoller's observations. I really believe that the survivior's accounts were absolutly effected from the tramia of the disaster. This spills over to other topics of great debate such as Charles Joughin's ordeal where I personally believe judgement of time and events were greatly effected. |
