The Collison between the [i:cc3d4615c7]New York[/i:cc3d4615c7] and [i:cc3d4615c7]Titanic[/i:cc3d4615c7], had the ships actually collided, was reckoned to be about as bad as the [i:cc3d4615c7]S.S.Hawke[/i:cc3d4615c7] and the [i:cc3d4615c7]Olympic[/i:cc3d4615c7] the previous year - and that one had [i:cc3d4615c7]Olympic[/i:cc3d4615c7] going back to Belfast for repairs. On the other hand, had the two collided, I find it possible that [i:cc3d4615c7]Titanic[/i:cc3d4615c7] would never hit that iceberg - if I recall correctly, it was three months before [i:cc3d4615c7]Olympic[/i:cc3d4615c7] made it back into service.
