I came up with a question last night while watching the 1953 Titanic movie.
Could 2nd and 3rd class passengers send and recieve messages via wireless? I know that to send a message was very expensive back then and that probably the average 3rd class (and maybe even some 2nd class passengers) could not afford to pay for it. But, if they could, would they be allowed to send a telegram? Or was this service available strictly for first class passengers? |
