I can't believe this question was even asked considering how famous she was.

Yes Margaret "Molly" Tobin Brown was on the ship and was a 1st class passenger. She was born on Thursday 18th July 1867 and was 44 at the time of the sinking. She was born to a poor family and her husband struck it rich at a coal mine.

Before Titanic she wasn't really accepted by Denver society. After Titanic she became more respected. Mrs. Brown was considered an eccentric but generally well-liked and articulate woman who, despite never really being accepted at the toniest levels, became a legend in her own time after the Titanic episode.

I can't confirm this as I don't recall where I heard it, but I think I remember reading she was putting others on a lifeboat before placing herself on one and even gave up her coat or something to another passenger.

She was actually called Maggie, not Molly, she wasn't known as Molly until after her death. She got on lifeboat 6 and was known for eventually taking over the lifeboat. The movie does not portray this unfortantly. She wanted to row back and get people from the water but they wouldn't. This was ofcourse before she took over the boat.

After the sinking of the Titanic, Molly presented the "Loving Cup" to Captain Rostron for his rescuing the Titanic passengers.

She died 26th October 1932 at the age of 65.

There've been many plays and movies made about Molly Brown. Might wanna check one out. The Debbie Renolds "The Unsinkable Molly Brown" from 1964 gives a good glimse into her life before Titanic. It's a rather good movie, you might wanna see if you can check it out from your local video store.

Now, that's just a brieft type up from what I've read, maybe someone else can give a full biography report on her and tell more than I have.
