Rose promoised Jack that she would get on with her life (if you watched the movie then you know he told her to "go on", and she would not die on that peace of wood in the middle of the ocean. She promised him that she would "make lots of babies and watch them grow"). Understand now? She promised him, then he died, she had to do it for him, I don't know about you but I would honor the promis I made to my dieing lover!!!
