That whaler was the Samson, and there's overwhelming evidence that it was not in Titanic's area that night. Records show that it was in port (which one I can't remember) just a few days after the night Titanic went down - a port that would've been too far away for such a slow ship to reach so soon.
Even if it was in the area (which it wasn't), it was just a small ship and wouldn't've been able to handle 1,500+ people. |
